The Diocese of Capua is investigating claims that a fiberglass statue of Padre Pio in Casalba near Naples shed a tear first noticed on April 18. Parish priest Don Girolamo Capuano says he reviewed April security footage and found no evidence of tampering. The diocese is examining the substance seen on the statue. The case has drawn pilgrims and national media attention, while Church authorities remain cautious after a previous “weeping statue” in the same town was later explained by rainwater leakage.

Bishop Eleganti: “We Have Enough Homosexuals in the Clergy”

Retired Swiss Bishop Marian Eleganti wrote a blog post on May 21 about the synodal “occupational therapy” ordered by the Vatican. Main points slightly shortened.
- What comes from Rome — the workshop behind the universally proclaimed synodal process — is human wisdom. Apparently, its protagonists have nothing better to do than keep issuing instructions to local churches on how to manage and sustain this synodal process, a stillbirth from the start.
- It is the full-time actors of this dysfunctional, committee-run Church who busy themselves - at great expense - with commissioned management tools and synodal papers.
- Nothing comes of it except ever more documents to read, heterodox study results, and newly invented committees — on top of the many already existing ones.
- By now, it has become clear what this process aims at: restructuring the Church’s longstanding doctrinal positions on divorce and remarriage, homosexuality and the broader queer agenda, the synodal democratization of …Makîria

The man featured for nearly 25 years on the cover of the Roman priest calendar “Calendario Romano” is not a priest. Giovanni Galizia, now 39, told La Repubblica he posed for the photo at age 17 in Palermo as a joke after meeting photographer Piero Pazzi. Galizia said he was never paid, never felt called to the priesthood, and now works in flight attendant training for a Spanish airline. He described the image as an aesthetic portrait of an embarrassed teenager whose friends were laughing during the shoot.

A calendar featuring close-ups of young, handsome priests has been a popular Rome souvenir for two decades. However, many of those photographed aren't actually priests.

‘Miracles of St. Antonio of Padua’ ~ Chapter I – Miracles during his life; pages 37-46; points 13-15 – ‘The Apparition of the Holy Child….’, etc.’

[St. Anthony of Padua XII-XIII Century AD; born: Lisbon, Kingdom of Portugal/died: Padua, Holy Roman Empire; (aged 35); powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick; canonized less than a year after his death; Doctor of the Church]
13 ~ The Apparition of the Holy Child
The Friars Minor had no monastery within the walls of Padua,
the nearest one, at Arcella, outside the city, being about three-quarters of an hour s walk. It often happened that, owing to the gates being closed early in the evening, it was impossible for the saint on account of his missionary work, to return home. But he easily found a night s shelter among his friends, who were only too happy to have him for their guest. Tito Borghese, Count of Campo San Pietro, one of the saint s dearest friends, was among the few whom he honored the most with his presence. This noble man had so great a veneration for him that he carefully noted down all that took place during …Makîria

" Once, when thus visiting him, he noticed an extra ordinary light piercing through the chinks of the saint s apartments. Anxious to discover the cause of this, he drew near, and to his great surprise saw through the cracks of the door St. Anthony holding a beautiful child in his arms, whom he was lovingly caressing. His host was first at a loss to understand how this lovely infant had entered the apartment of his guest, but soon discovered, through his majestic bearing and the rapture of Si. Anthony, that the child was no other than our divine Lord, who, under this form, had come to console, encourage and strengthen His faithful servant."

German Bishop "totally Fascinated" by Leo XIV

Bishop Franz Jung of Würzburg, Germany, is "totally fascinated" by Pope Leo XIV, praising him for emphasising unity and opposing "nationalism". The bishop offered this praise in an interview with K-TV.org on 15 May.
He also applauded Leo XIV’s willingness to confront powerful political figures and praised him for "standing up to Trump". "That impresses me greatly," said Bishop Jung. He added: "I rejoice very much in this calm, thoughtful manner."
He also revived discussion of his favourite topics: married priests ('viri probati'), the position of women in the Church, and whether lay people could be authorised to preach — a practice which is already widespread and even expected in many German dioceses.
Bishop Jung identified only one minor problem within the German Synodal Way: insufficient coordination with Rome. According to him, the German bishops now want to "take the next steps" together with the Vatican.

Homosexual Ex-Priest Co-Authored the German Homosexuals' Blessing Rite

Stefan Diefenbach, a former priest, co-authored the German guideline 'Blessing Gives Strength to Love' ('Segen gibt der Liebe Kraft') in April 2025 for homosexual couples. He spoke about it with katholisch.de on May 22.
Diefenbach was a priest with the Arnstein Fathers. He left the order in 2005. Since 2016, he has been in a homosexual "marriage" with a male opera singer from Argentina.
Diefenbach said that the guideline merely implements Fiducia Supplicans: "It is an attempt to 'translate' it for pastoral practice in Germany and make it fruitful."
He was surprised by the vehemence of the criticism.
And: "I cannot fully comprehend the criticism. The text of the guideline clearly states that blessings should be given freely and spontaneously, that no approved liturgical celebrations or prayers are provided for, and that there should be no confusion with a liturgical celebration of the sacrament of marriage."
Diefenbach himself was not present at the discussions in the Vatican. "But I …Makîria

Munich Priest: "Archbishop Never Questioned Me About My Female Partner"

"I am not married and I don't have children, but I am not alone. I also have a partner, a woman, who supports me in my role as a priest", Munich parish priest Rainer Maria Schießler told Katholisch.de on May 22.
He added that he stands by his way of life, saying: "You don't just choose a partnership; it develops because people are sympathetic to one another, and ultimately, it's a great gift. For me, at any rate, it gives me tremendous strength and enormous support in my work and in my celibate [!] way of life."
He continued: "As a priest, I have just as much a right to my private life."
When asked if he had received enquiries from Munich Archbishop Reinhard Marx regarding his public comments about his "female partner", Rev Schießler replied: "No, there was never anything to hide or explain."
Rev Schießler is notorious for blessing homosexuals (pictured) and causing liturgical scandals.

‘The Wisdom of the Desert’ by James O. Hannay; 1904 ~ Chapter IV – ‘How We Ought to Return Good for Evil’; points III-X; part II; pages 40-43

Chapter IV ~ How We Ought to Return Good for Evil
III ~ A doctrine concerning injuries done to us by which we may escape from the danger of being angry, and even turn such wrongs into a source of profit for our souls.
A certain brother, who had been injured by another,
came and told the story of what had happened to one of the elders. This is the reply which the elder made to him: "Set your mind at rest concerning the wrong done to you.
The harm was not meant for you, but for your sins. In every temptation to anger or hatred that comes to you through the act of man, accuse not him who does the injury. Say simply, 'It is on account of my own sins that this, and things like this, happen unto me.'"
IV ~ Of the one which may be reckoned supreme amongst the commandments of the Lord, both inasmuch as it is beyond all difficult to be kept, and also in that the keeping of it makes us fellow-sufferers with Him.

seeking some word of exhortation. "Tell me," he …Makîria

"V ~ The abbot Poemen teaches that they who have grace to keep this commandment are very sharers in the death of the Lord upon the cross.
A certain brother once questioned the abbot Poeman, saying, "What is this word which the Lord says in the gospel, 'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend?' How may one do such a thing?" The old man answered him, "Perhaps a man may hear from his friend some word which insults and angers him. Perhaps it is in his power to speak back to his friend in like manner. If then he chooses to endure in silence—if he does violence to himself, being fully determined to speak no angry word, nor any word to hurt or vex the other—then, verily, this man lays down, in sacrifice, his life for his friend."

Fr. Pagliarani: Editorial to the Members of SSPX

"Et nos credidimus caritati.
“And we have believed in charity” /1 Jn. 4:16/
Dear confreres and members of the Society,
It is with great pleasure that, following the public announcement of the consecrations and a series of explanations, I can finally address you in a more personal manner. I would like to share with you some advice to help us in our moral and spiritual preparation as members of the Society. It is this preparation that will enable us, in turn, to accompany the faithful during this time.
The Necessity and Context of the Consecrations
There is no shortage of apologetical arguments. It is a matter of preserving the Faith, and all the means necessary to transmit it. It is a question of bringing the Faith to life in people's souls. While the state of necessity could already be invoked in 1988, this state of necessity is, unfortunately, even more evident in 2026. This explains why the Society's decision is met with an understanding that extends far beyond its borders.
There is …Makîria

‘St. Gertrude and the Holy Souls
Our Blessed Lord once said to the Saint
: " If a soul is delivered by prayer from Purgatory I accept it as if I had myself been delivered from captivity, and I will assuredly reward it according to the abundance of my mercy"
The religious also behold many souls meeting before her to testify their gratitude for their deliverance from Purgatory, through the prayers which had been offered for her, and which she had not needed.
As St. Gertrude prayed fervently before matins on the blessed night of the Resurrection, the Lord Jesus appeared to her full of majesty and glory. Then she cast herself at His feet, to adore Him devoutly and humbly, saying: "O glorious Spouse, joy of the angels, Thou who hast shown me the favor of choosing me to be Thy spouse, who am the least of Thy creatures …Makîria

Three Transalpine Redemptorists Flee Monastery Island

Two priests and a subdeacon of the Transalpine Redemptorists have fled from the monastery island of Papa Stronsay, Scotland, according to PressAndJournal.co.uk on May 20.
The three reportedly coordinated their departure with Bishop Hugh Gilbert of Aberdeen, who is expected to establish a new community with them in his diocese. They are said to have secretly contacted the bishop using a monastery laptop and left the island by boat without informing their superiors. The plan was discovered on the laptop on the day of their departure.
Father Anthony Mary criticized the men for leaving in secret. “They left on the evening boat, and we have heard nothing since — no word, no explanation, nothing,” he said. He also accused Bishop Hugh Gilbert of having “worked against us.”
Father Michael Mary, founder of the Transalpine Redemptorists, said the three left because of “theological differences.”
The departure came shortly after the community published a manifesto rejecting the legitimacy of …Makîria

President Trump: We will not rest until Cubans have freedom
President Trump is looking at Cuba (see

Readers of this Blog will recall how, beginning with Francis, the sociopathic dictator was welcome at the Vatican. See here and here.
Pope Pius IX described socialism as a "fatal pest" and an "infamous doctrine" that fundamentally opposes the Church and natural law.
Pope Pius XI socialism quote explicitly addressed socialism in his 1931 encyclical, Quadragesimo Anno, asserting forcefully that, "No one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a true socialist."
The Holy See has actively maintained diplomatic relations with the murderous Marxist-Leninist Cuban government. Reports indicate that the Cuban government has sought the Pope's diplomatic assistance to encourage the easing of U.S. embargoes.
Indeed it seems that Raul Castro, a Marxist-Leninist …
