Electroverse @Electroversenet According to a new study, airports and industrial zones are 2.5 to 2.8 C hotter than nearby green spaces. 20 years of satellite records were analyzed. Urban areas were found to have warmed, while vegetated zones actually cooled by almost twice as much. Runways and jet exhaust see airports run 2.5 C hotter than the surrounding area. Industrial zones often fare even worse, trapping heat with concrete and machinery. Forests and rivers, on the other hand, were found to have cooled by up to 4 C compared to urban areas. In fact, between 2001 to 2021, large areas of rural land actually cooled. Most global surface stations are located in cities and airports, meaning much of the warming signal they deliver is urban heat. 'Man-made' warming could be correct, but literally so: our runways, roads, and concrete are skewing the global temperature record.
The courage of the saints is the only remedy for the silence of the clergy. Even JP2’s Veritatis Splendor tackles the modernist heresies of moral theology called “consequentialism” and “proportionalism.” These two errors “claim to draw the criteria of the rightness of a given way of acting solely from a calculation of foreseeable consequences deriving from a given choice.” He continues that proportionalism “weighs the various values and goods being sought, focuses rather on the proportion acknowledged between the good and bad effects of that choice, with a view to the ‘greater good’ or ‘lesser evil’ actually possible in a particular situation.”—Veritatis Splendor #75. In fact, Veritatis Splendor quotes Christ telling the rich young man that to be saved, he first must keep the commandments. So what do keeping the commandments have to do with the recent heresies of moral theology called “consequentialism” and “proportionalism”? To understand consequentialism, picture this …
Just 24-hours before the SSPX plans to consecrate four new bishops, the Pope sent his much awaited final appeal to the Society, seeking to call off the ceremony even at such late notice. It was two weeks ago to the day that Leo commented he intended to make such an appeal, and ever since then Vatican observers have been waiting to see what form it would take.
Ursula von der Leyen celebrated Budapest Pride on X, writing: "The streets of Budapest are filled with joy and pride... I am so glad that the LGBTIQ+ community in Hungary can finally march without fear." One user pushed back, replying: "There was no fear even under Orbán. What are you talking about? They were safer here in Hungary than in your country. I'm tired of your nonsense about Orbán's Hungary. He was right about almost everything."

How is this man the prefect of the former Holy Office?!? « The future Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández blatantly endorsed universalism, or the idea that all are saved, in a recently uncovered paper written more than 30 years ago. In a 46-page 1995 essay titled “Romanos 9-11: gracia y predestinación” (Grace and Predestination) first reported by El Wanderer, the future Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith wrote extensively on the Church’s teaching on salvation and predestination, citing the works Saints Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, though the then-priest focused on what they wrote on God’s mercy while largely ignoring His justice. Ultimately, Fernández concluded his work by stressing that he “firmly trusts” that “everyone will be saved,” adding that this is not a “mere wish” but based on what he “know(s) of God and His specific plans.” »

@Michael Haynes leaves Pelican+ for the Catholic Herals "For the past number of months I have been covering the Vatican beat for the American outlet Pelican+, I look forward to making the Catholic Herald my main home and providing the standard of Vatican reporting that readers of this storied publication would expect."
One must seriously considered that a few of these "catholic media" apostolates are simply fifth columnists seeking to spread propaganda. Think of outfits like Crux which was started by some NCR guy with the backing of the Boston Globe and bailed out by the Knights of Columbus. This organization has combined influence from 1) liberal modernist dissenters, 2) secularists, 3) neo-con Catholics. Totally organic "grass-roots"? NO WAY!
What happened to LifeSiteNews 2025 has also not yet been disclosed, nor has the question of who funds it been answered (the idea that it is funded by small donors is clearly nonsense).
Today, Leo XIV issued the Motu Proprio Confirma Fratres Tuos, which replaces the apostolic constitution In Ecclesiarum Communione, promulgated by Pope Francis in January 2023, which governed the vicariate of Rome. According to the new constitution: • The Cardinal Vicar regains primary executive authority over the Vicariate and assumes greater responsibility for its day-to-day governance while remaining accountable to the Pope. • The Episcopal Council is no longer a decision-making body, but rather a consultative one. The Cardinal Vicar will chair it rather than the Pope. • A new office, the Moderator Curiae, is established. The Moderator Curiae is appointed for a five-year term to coordinate the Vicariate's offices, oversee personnel, and manage administrative operations. • The Vicegerent continues in a supporting role while transferring many administrative coordination responsibilities to the Moderator Curiae. #newsEtjyapertd
Definition of CISMATICS according to those who, through a coup d’état, ousted the Holy Pontiff Benedict XVI 1) If you worship God in a devout and solemn manner (the Traditional Mass) 2) If you do not worship Pachamama or similar deities 3) If you do NOT agree with sexual relations between men and between women (Fiducia Suplicans). 4) If you do not agree with *Amoris Laetitia*, which encourages the divorced and remarried to receive Communion, in clear defiance of Jesus, who warned that what God has joined together, no man may separate. 5) If you allow people to kneel before God present in the Eucharist. 6) If you are not a supporter of Islam, which teaches that those who recognize Jesus as God deserve hell. Islam teaches that Jesus was not crucified on the Cross. According to Islam, Judas Iscariot was crucified in His place. 7) If you do not accept that Jesus’ death on the Cross was a failure on God’s part. 8) If you do not agree to degrade the Mother of God, beginning with the abolition …More
Please do not malign Pope Leo. It is not hardness of heart at all. He simply follows the Synodal Church mindset of "what I don't like must be wrong, what I do like must be right." "Licit" means in keeping with preexisting law and dogma. Pope Leo has not used the word that way because he literally hasn't been formed to understand that the Pope is not the source of truth but only the caretaker of the truth which was revealed ages ago and does not change with the times, public consensus or concrete situations.
Tue Jun 30, 2026 - 5:16 am EDTTue Jun 30, 2026 - 7:29 am EDT VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Leo has made a public appeal to the head of the traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) not to carry out the episcopal consecrations planned for tomorrow, July 1. This morning, June 30, Pope Leo released a letter to Father Davide Pagliarani, the current head of the SSPX, his bishops, priests and seminarians, as well as the lay faithful “connected” to the Society, warning that the consecrations would be a “schismatic act.” [Full letter printed below.] “I plead with you and ask you with all my heart: please turn back!” the Pontiff wrote. “I urge you to consider carefully the spiritual good of the faithful, because the schismatic act you are about to undertake would deprive them of the licit and, in some cases, even valid reception of the Sacraments, which they love and seek for their sanctification.” In his letter, Pope Leo said that “to tear the seamless garment of Christ”–meaning …
Canada Day is a statutory holiday to mark the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867. So on July 1 it's Canada's birthday. For the occasion, Toronto's Cardinal Frank Leo has released a good message. He rightly reflects on the meaning of being human, of freedom and truth. What kind of nation are we building? What are we celebrating? Here's what he says: My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May Jesus and Mary be in your hearts. In the coming days we will celebrate Canada Day, a time when we rightly commemorate what Canada is: a land of peace, opportunity, and security. Gratitude matters, and it is important to recognize our blessings and give thanks. Yet this year, I would invite the faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto to consider a deeper, more searching question undergirding our celebrations: “Who are we becoming?” not only as individuals, but as a nation. Many of the tensions we experience today—our debates, divisions, polarization and uncertainties—…
This is the full text of the letter sent by Pope Leo to the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X on the eve on the episcopal consecrations. To The Reverend Davide Pagliarani Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X With a paternal heart, and aware of the responsibility entrusted to me by the Lord as the Successor of the Apostle Peter, I address you and, through you, the bishops, priests, seminarians and faithful connected to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. The Church recognizes the devotion to liturgical life, commitment to priestly formation, apostolic zeal and desire for fidelity to Tradition that characterize many people and communities connected to your Fraternity. This has motivated the attentive and generous attitude that my Predecessors have consistently shown to you. In this spirit, and filled with Christian affection, I plead with you and ask you with all my heart: please turn back! I urge you to consider carefully the spiritual good of …
The "disarming of language" applies to the faithful readers of *Magnifica Humanitas*, while Leo's "fatherly heart" arms itself with threats. He intends to withhold heavenly graces from the faithful of the FSSPX ("invalid sacraments"). Yet he could bypass excommunication, just as he did with the heretical, communist-appointed bishops of the Chinese National Church—a body that does not even acknowledge the papacy in principle. Alternatively, he could acknowledge canon law in its ENTIRETY: no penalty applies in cases of apprehended necessity (Canon 1323, No. 7 CIC).
French bishops very consciously accepted the principles of the Revolution in the 19th century. Vatican II can be seen as the revenge of the successors of the French minority bishops over Papal Infallibility at Vatican II
Today, Leo XIV has appointed Sister Alessandra Smerilli as Prefect to the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. She served as Secretary of the Dicastery.
