The Roman Rite Returns to Another Monastery: Today, twelve Benedictine monks from Le Barroux officially established a new monastic community at Notre-Dame de Bellefontaine Abbey in western France. Founded in the early 12th century, the abbey was home to Trappist monks from 1816 until their departure in 2025. Fr. Raphaël, the new prior, paid tribute to the departing community: "The monastery is in very good condition. The brothers cared for it until the very end, always hoping they could remain." And: "Our liturgy will be celebrated in Latin and Gregorian chant. There will be those who like it and those who do not. Each person must discern for himself."

She denies the allegations, saying the dispute began after she refused the abortion request and adding, "I just feel used... They didn't get the perfect child they wanted, and they threw me away."

Man Arrested Over Attempted Theft of St. Januarius' Mitre: A 43-year-old foreign national was arrested on Wednesday after attempting to steal the ceremonial mitre from the reliquary bust of St. Januarius inside Naples Cathedral. The theft was immediately reported, allowing authorities to track the suspect using surveillance cameras. The man faces a charge of attempted theft. The mitre was recovered and returned to the cathedral, where the relics of St. Januarius are kept.

He said: "I've not prepared a speech, because, I am hungry - hungry for justice, for authentic charity, for a Church that knows how to open its doors, welcome people, and care for everyone." The guests enjoyed a meal featuring pasta all'amatriciana, roast veal, other Italian specialities and strawberries with whipped cream for dessert.

In the historic centre of Turin, Italy, stands the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi. In the sixteenth century, the church temporarily safeguarded the Shroud of Turin, after its transfer from Chambéry. Is is an active church in the Archdiocese of Turin, with regular Masses and the Blessed Sacrament reserved. Since spring 2020, however, the church has also served as the regular place of worship for the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Turin. The Lutheran congregation is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy (CELI) and has administrative offices elsewhere in the city, but no church of its own. This arrangement is permanent. During the installation of Pastor Tobias Brendel in September 2022, which took place in the Catholic church, a Catholic deacon symbolically presented the new pastor with a set of keys.
