Queens Parish Brings Stations of the Cross to the Streets
A Queens parish brought the Passion of Christ into the streets on March 27, as dozens of faithful took part in a Via Crucis, or Stations of the Cross, procession from St. Leo Church to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The walk became a symbolic road to Calvary, drawing parishioners together in prayer and reflection. The tradition began just last year and mirrors similar “Friday of Sorrows” processions held in many countries.
